Dilbar layers more techniques than most in the range -- zardozi, sequins, glass beads, pearls and threadwork, all hand-combined into a single floral jaal across an ivory dupion base.

Combining five embellishment techniques in one pattern takes considerably longer than a single technique alone, which is why Dilbar carries some of the most noticeable pair-to-pair variation in the collection -- each embroiderer building the same design slightly differently by hand.

Care

Keeping the embroidery in shape

•Store in the dust bag it arrives in, away from direct sunlight, when not in use.
•Keep away from water, perfume and oil-based products, which can mark the thread work.
•Wipe the base gently with a soft, dry cloth after each wear.
•Avoid folding or creasing the toe when storing, to protect the embroidery.
